Privacy Policy

We collect only the minimum necessary to run the app:

• Google account info: Your name, email, and Firebase UID — collected at sign-in via Google Sign-In. Used solely to identify your account and sync plan status.
• Plan status: Free or Pro flag, purchase date, and plan expiry. Stored in Firestore under your UID.
• Backup metadata: Timestamp and size of your last backup. Stored in Firestore.
• On-device document metadata: Document type, extracted dates, and non-sensitive fields. Stored only in a local SQLite database on your device — never in Firestore.

We do not collect: original document files, full Aadhaar UID numbers, full PAN numbers, or biometric data of any kind.

The encrypted backup available to Pro users is uploaded to your own Google Drive account. Dokzo does not have access to this file — it is encrypted before it ever leaves your device.

Dokzo reads and extracts information from your documents entirely on your device. In rare cases where on-device processing cannot identify a document's fields, a small snippet of extracted text — typically 20–30 lines — may be sent to Google Cloud Vertex AI for assistance.

When this happens:

• Only the relevant text lines are sent — never the original photo or PDF
• No name, email, or account information is included in the request
• Google Cloud enterprise terms contractually prohibit using this data to train AI models
• The app displays a clear notice whenever cloud AI is used

Google Cloud Vertex AI is operated under Google Cloud's enterprise data processing terms.

Pro users can back up their vault to their personal Google Drive. The backup is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before leaving the device.

Your Google Drive is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Dokzo writes only the encrypted backup file to your Drive — it cannot read, access, or modify any other content in your Google Drive account.

Dokzo uses a small number of Google services to run the app:

• Sign-in: Google Sign-In manages your account. Your name and email are stored securely to identify your account and sync your plan status.
• Account data: Your plan status (free or pro), purchase date, and backup timestamps are stored securely in the cloud. No document files or document content are ever stored in the cloud.
• Crash reporting: Anonymous crash reports are collected to help us fix bugs. No document content is included in crash reports.
• Cloud AI: Used as a fallback for document field extraction as described above.
• Payments: In-app purchases are processed entirely by Google Play. Dokzo does not collect, store, or process any payment card or banking information. Your payment details are handled solely by Google under Google Payments Privacy Notice.

These services are operated by Google LLC under Google's Privacy Policy.

All reminders are OS-native local notifications scheduled directly on your device. They work without an internet connection and are not routed through any external server.

Your documents and metadata are stored on your device and remain under your control at all times. You can delete any document from within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all local data from your device.

To request deletion of your Firestore profile data, email dokzo.app@gmail.com.

Dokzo is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
