Dokzo is an app that keeps your documents private and reminds you before they expire. We are India-based and passionate about solving everyday problems with technology. For any questions, reach us at dokzo.app@gmail.com.
We collect only what's needed to keep the app working:
We never collect: original document files, full Aadhaar numbers, full PAN numbers, or any biometric data.
๐ฑ Your original photos and PDFs are never stored on Dokzo's servers โ they remain on your device at all times.
Pro users can optionally back up their vault โ to their own Google Drive (for Google Sign-In users) or to their private iCloud storage (for Apple Sign-In users). The backup is encrypted on your device before it leaves โ Dokzo has no access to the encryption key and cannot read your backup.
๐ซ Dokzo stores only the last 4 digits of Aadhaar and PAN. Full numbers are never saved anywhere โ not on your device, not in the cloud, not in backups.
๐ Your original photos and PDFs are never sent to any server when documents are being read.
Dokzo reads your documents directly on your device. In rare cases where it cannot identify certain fields, a short snippet of extracted text โ never the photo or PDF itself โ may be sent to a secure cloud AI service for assistance.
When this happens:
Pro users can back up their vault to Google Drive (Google Sign-In users) or iCloud (Apple Sign-In users). The backup is strongly encrypted before it leaves your device โ only you can restore it.
For Google Drive backups: Dokzo writes only your encrypted backup file to Drive and cannot read, access, or modify anything else in your account. Your Drive data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
For iCloud backups: Dokzo stores encrypted backup files in your private iCloud database (CloudKit). No other iCloud data is accessed. Your iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Dokzo uses a small set of third-party services to run the app:
Google services are operated under Google's Privacy Policy. Apple services are operated under Apple's Privacy Policy.
Renewal reminders are scheduled locally on your device. They work without an internet connection and are never routed through any external server.
Your documents and metadata are stored on your device and remain under your control at all times. You can delete any document from within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all local data from your device. If you have created a Google Drive backup, you can delete it directly from your Google Drive account.
To request deletion of your Firestore profile data, email dokzo.app@gmail.com.
Dokzo is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
